Thanks all, I feel good about it. I applied online and was approved immediately. My wife applied right after me and was approved for $500. It's just nice to be able to get credit again after the mess of the past 5 years. Just got a $33k car loan through VW Credit a couple of weeks ago at a decent rate, so things are defintely getting better.
Congrats. I also just applied online literally 15 minutes ago. Instant approval for 700 with 635ish scores. Now to search the site here regarding the monthly TU that is supposed to be a bonus.

All you have to do to get the free TU score is sigh up for paperless billing, then you'll be able to view your TU score.
love the free TU score!

Want to share the details of the car loan? It seems we're in a similar spot, I was just approved for WM card at $600 and interested in a VW albeit much less expensive. What were your scores, APR, downpayment, etc

The first dealership I went to came back with EX at 617, and offered me 20.99 as the best they could do..um, no. Went to another dealer the next day, they get EX at 678 (auto-enhanced) and can get me 10.19...decide ok. The next day, my CU offers me 8.9...call the dealer and tell them to hold the deal, they get VW to go 7.9. Got $7200 for my trade, and bought a 2013 Passat TDI SEL. 7.9 is not fantastic, but I was prepared for 15%, so I'm happy with it, and I will refi it with my CU in a year.
Very nice, appreciatethe info. Good to hear they pulled EX auto for VW credit too, assuming most VW dealers will pull the same.

I LOVE my new Walmart Discover card, mainly because of the monthly free TU FICO 08 score!
I was approved for only $500 because they pull TU. TU is my worst CR because I still have a lien reporting. Instead of disputing, I'm waiting until Oct, 2013 when it will fall off by itself. There's no lien on my EQ report, which is why my EQ is 90 points higher than TU. This time next year, I should see a nice jump in my TU score and thanks to my Walmart card, I get to see it for free
