GE cards tend to carry a high interest rate
When applying, does it give an opportunity to choose which card one is applying for? or does the system approve either Discover or regular store card based on the credit score?
The system tries to qualify you for Discover version of the card first. If you can't be approved for Discover version, system tries to qualify you for store version of the card. If you can't qualify for neither of them, you get declined. AFAIK, you can't choose a specific version of this card by yourself.

Yeah, GE is typically NOT flexible with interest rates! BUT this card does have 0% offers with min spend requirements allllll the time!
They were having 0% for twelve months on any electronics purchase over 500 bucks, or something like that--so I bought a new LG 3D LED TV. It is awesome. But I paid it off after 3 days so that I could use my card again...lol.
lol, no matter what the product, the fact is that GE throws the 0% for 12 months offer down on the regular!
lol...I got my card in Nov, and have been denied for a cli 3 times. Once after each time I paid it off. I am just going to wait until my fourth statement cuts now. I also hit the luv button like 5 times, but it says that I my account is not eligible for an online limit increase. I figure it's a sp, so f-it. What's the worst that can happen?
