What to expect from Bloomingdales & Macy's

i just got approved for 500.00 each for macy's and bloomingdales.

What can I expect as far as CLI goes ?

How long should I wait before I ask?

Update...they sent me an email asking me questions from my CR.  

I called them and answered them and they increased the macy's to 1000.00 (from 500) and bloomingdales to 1500.00 (from 500)

Congrats!   They usually give low CLs if you're apply online, but often are quick to give CLIs

If I use and PIF and wait 4 to 6 months and I request an increase will that be a SP OR HP ?

SP, most often, but there are some infrequent cases of HP.

CONGRATS and WELCOME to the Macy's family!!! Typically every 6 months you can request a CLI! Depending on usage, they will grant you an auto CLI. Hope this helps.

I can't speak for Bloomingdales but, Macy's the standard is every 6 months if you call / chat with them.  I haven't seen many or any postings saying they auto CLI every x months like some other lenders.  The last time I went through the CLI w/ Macy's the guy on the phone said to call back in 6 mo's if I needed another increase.  When you do the request they'll say that they will do a HP but, from several postings and personal experience they 99.999% of the time will only look at the last SP they did when reporting your payment history.

I just requested a CLI on my Bloomingdales card via message and was denied (SP) I opened the acct on March so about 4 months now Im not sure as to why it was denied Im awaiting my letter, and as to Macys I just recently went over my CL and was HP to see if I qualified for a CLI to cover my purchase and was denied. SO dont go Over your limit or it will be a forsure HP. Enjoy I have been because of the AMEX Upgrade plus they were the onl ones to approve aside from SONY VISA and Wells Fargo Platinum which I am closing both once paid off.
