I app'd for Fingerhut and got a CL of $700. I also have a Credit One card on the way with a CL of $500.00. My friend has this Credit One card and went from $300.00 to $3000.00 in less than a year. So i am hoping to grow. Yes I am in the rebuilding process. I was denied a Discover IT card due to a tax lein. Any thoughts on if I should recon this decision or is that a deal breaker?
TIA
Congrats! You can try to recon what's the worst they can say no. You already have that so what do you have to lose posslbly another inquiry. So if you can take an extra inquiry go for it. Thanks for sharing.
If you are committed to having the Credit One, I would only keep it for 12 months until the AF hits again. Your freind's experience with CLI seems to be the exception and not the rule.
I think if your TU hits around 650, you should be able to get a Barclay Rewards (average credit). Did you try the Barclay prescreen?

Grats on your new cards
Discover is not going to recon that positively I would address the tax lien situation first. If its been paid off file for a withdrawl of lien this gets it off your reports now.
I would recon. I was approved (instant) for a Discover IT w/ 4 tax liens (2 unpaid only 13 months old at time of application).
Your friend's Credit One limit is the highest I've seen. Congratulations on your approvals, I had both of these and they helped me tremendously, but like they said I would only keep Credit One for a year, they will kill you with fees in the long run.
I'd say recon as well, you have nothing to lose and you might get surprised.

I tried for a recon and they still said No I have 2 tax liens both unpaid at this moment.
