Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

Hi rsl1313, yes you can recon now, i understand a hp from Boa is usually good up to 30 days. Explain to them why you need the extra credit line and perhaps theyll reconsider. Cli with Boa can start becoming available to request as early as 3 months but its normally wvery 6 months though YMMV. The bk may still hold you back but you never know. Boa seems to like when you have assets or money in the bank lol. Good luck and again congrats on getting a fantastic cardSmiley Happy

Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

I am in the same situation as you. I already have the AK Siggy card. I have now applied twice for the card again and received the Plat both times. I tried recon both times with no success. I will complete the 1k spend bank the 6k miles and close the account after i transfer the 2k CL to my Siggy card which has a $7800 CL

Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

Hi,

Thanks for the info...I hope they reconsider, I have a great banking relationship with them too. One more question, is it a hard pull for CLI's?

Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

In my case it has been each time. I find it easier to complete the spend, get the bonus and transfer the existing CL to my Siggy before closing the other card

Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

I guess I have another question ha ha. I have 4 credit cards now (Alaska Airlines $3000, Discover it $7000, Capital One Quicksilver 1 $7000 and a Capital One secured MasterCard that I got a year after bankruptcy.) I am thinking of closing the secured card and getting my deposit back.  I was thinking about possibly applying for a new Venture card before I do that. I read on here they don't much like to give the deposits back. Also that secured card is my oldest open account. Should I wait to recon BofA to try for the higher limit signature card before applying for another card?

Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

Good luck with a recon however I would be surprised if they give you the siggy card and even if they do u will not get the bonus miles or other benefits. To get that u must be approved for the siggy initially. I would def close the secured card.  U can then apply for the venture.

Re: Alaska Airlines [5/5 Update]

Hi All,

Sorry for the late reply I did recon BofA with no luck., the reason being is my CLI's for Cap1 and Discover weren't showing yet and the $3000 CL was in line with what the others were. Her advice was to reapply for the visa signature card in 6 months. I guess that is what I will do. That being said, I applied for VentureOne that day and was approved for $30000, and I closed my CapOne secured acct. finally. Thanks so much for all the help!
