Alaska Airlines Visa and bankruptcy

Hi All,

Has anybody (or know of anybody) ever been approved for an Alaka Airlines visa with a bankruptcy still showing on their credit report. I am 4 years out of chap. 7 with pristine accounts since and was wondering what my chances might be...

As long as you didn't burn BOA in your BK and you have decent scores now I'd say you have a very good chance.

Re: Alaska Airlines Visa and bankruptcy

My father didn't burn boa in his BK about 4 years ago. Applied for the Norwegian cruise line card and was instantly declined with no other negatives except his BK. He actually had positive history with closed accounts prior in the past to his BK. I'm pretty sure boa is not very BK friendly but ymmv.

BofA is not all that BK friendly but it's not impossible to get a card from them with BK. Here's an example.

The little data points we have on BofA seem to all be approvals around 4 years. If you do try please let us know how it turns out for you

I don't know about the Alaska Airlines card but I applied for and was approved for the Cash and Travel Rewards with my BK13 alive and well on my reports and it'll be there for a few more years before it falls off.

Re: Alaska Airlines Visa and bankruptcy

Thanks for the info...I work in Alaska and fly Alaska Airlines all the time so it would be great to have that card. I think I will wait until I am a full 4 years out before applying (March 2017). Is there any info out there on what kind of score would meet their criteria?
