Hey folks! So last week I applied for the Delta platinum card and was denied. I asked for recon and it went back to "in progress" stage. I heard that they seldom actually overturn the decision but I figured why not. They did a new soft pull on my credit the day after the denial and got a higher score than the one that was on the denial letter. Since it has been a full week and it still says 'in progress' on the app status page I called in to speak to someone about the status. The lady who answered asked me if I had received a letter from them yet to which I answered no. She then said that they are still working on my application and to wait to get a letter in the mail with further instructions. Could this mean that they want to do a verification of some sort and I still have a shot?? Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks in advance for any input!
