Sorry about your denial Ron.  I wouldn't take it personally though.  US Bank is very thorough nowadays and conservative.  I've been considering applying for this card too but not sure if I would use it that much.  The lounge access sounds nice though and would be great to use while traveling abroad but that's about it.  Still on the fence though...

Go for it Ron! I really don't think the underwriting is very difficult right now. I've opened a lot of new credit this year and they still approved me.

I had mentioned the same thing to Ron (since I just got approved for the 2nd Diners card), but I think he's going to hold off given his recent other approvals.  Which I can see from his perspective and I totally understand and respect his decision.  Likewise, for me, my 2014 acitivities are complete.

I completely understand him holding off. I'm honestly done for awhile myself. This one was a shot in the dark since I held of during the NASA madness. At this point I can say there isn't much out there left that is must have for me.
