Apply for CC with frozen credit

I apped Citi with EQ frozen because of split file, they denied and did not pull any CRA. They gave me a number to call with EQ unfrozen within 30 days.

Thanks for the response guys. I went ahead and applied for it anyways, without unfreezing EX. Guess what? Approved with a $11,000 limit. Looks like Citi is not consistent with which report they pull. In my case, it looks like they pulled EQ (most likely) or TU.

I spoke to a rep before applying. She said apply for it. If you're denied, call us and we'll let you know why. If it's because we were unable to access your report, call your CRA and unfreeze and then give us a call back. Based on what I read on this thread and on this forum in general,  the opinion is Citi pulls EX for credit applications and EQ/EX for CLIs. Doesn't seem like that's the case.
