Approved for a 0% APR (15 months) $7500 AMEX with a $250 statement credit for $1000, however I'm interested in the $400/$1000 NFL Barclay Promo. I'll use the $650 for a 2012 Roth contribution. Will it be a bad idea to apply for the Barclays a day after getting the AMEX?
I wouldn't think so, but it could depend on how many inquires you have. I have heard that Barclays is extremely Inquiry sensitive so you might want to wait, this is from my limited expirence and based on what I have read on this and other forums.
The only other inquiry is from the AMEX. Otherwise, my two other credit cards are from six years ago, and the two car loans I've paid off in full early are over 3 years.
am not sure how inquiry sensitive they are but I applied yesterday for this card and approved me with only $600 CL..... i closed the account since the limit was too low for me... i have total of 11 inquiries on TU, 7 this year, 4 the last 5 months (2 (including barclay) the past week)....
Congrats on amex and I say go for barclays
Just applied. $7,000 CL. This seems too easy.... $7,500 AMEX and this card $7,000? I'm definetly done applying for years, however I'll take these two recent additions as a good sign of my previous and prospective financial lifestyle. An extra $650 sounds good for my ROTH!
WOW Congrats!!! Very nice haha unbelievable.
How is this unbelievable? I don't mean that in a pretentious/arrogant fashion, I sincerely know very little about credit avaliability in this economic climate, thus I do not fully appreciate your underlying premise.
Thanks.
