Barclay card reporting in less than a week???

I just app'd for my Barclay's card and it is already on my CRA's.  Now that is really fast.  Is this normal?  I have another Barclay card but It never reported so soon.

Concur.  All of mine have reported within 24-48 hours with the exception of Sallie Mae which took about a week and a half.

Re: Barclay card reporting in less than a week???

+3 on 24 hour reporting

I app'ed a Barclay card on New years eve

New years day it was on CR's with a date of get this ...............Dec, 1969 ....Smiley Surprised

Dag don't y'all give employees off for New years ....Geez slave drivers

Of course they fixed the date upon first statement reporting but Oh Oh Oh what a boost to scores I had that month

Don't know why but that was their generic date they use to use for everyone

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Barclay card reporting in less than a week???

UNIX was created in the early 70s, so they made their timestamps relative to Jan 1, 1970 at midnight. As a result, times in C and C++ are often in seconds since that time. A time of "-1" is 12:59:59 PM on Dec. 31, 1969. It makes a pretty good invalid/uninitialized value.

So the lesson of this is to apply on new years eye and enjoy a temporary huge backdate, go app crazy until scores normalize after first statement cut, right Smiley Tongue
