I opened my Cap One Acct June 23, 2014 so over six months. I spent about 20k on it in last six months and PIF. The limit now is 20k
I tried for a CLI online in the past and was declined with the only reason being it had not been six months.
This morning I tried again and I got the you will hear from us in 2-3 days.
Has oneone received the 2-3 day message and saw their CL increased after 2 or 3 days or that message = decline ?
Thank you
Ok...thanks...
Guess my spend is not high enough in relation to the limit I have now...

Decline.
Grinch! You're bringing me down. I finally got a CLI screen, and also got the 2-3 days message today.
Not that I really need the CLI, but it'll be interesting to see the result.
Cap1 One .. Tried again today figuring since it was Christmas and yep 2-3 day message!

2-3 day message is auto denial. You will have the reason online in 1-2 days.
However.. You can chat with them and ask to manually review the denial.
With that said. I had my card 2.5 months and hit the luv button.. Auto denied for card not being 6 months old.. 3 weeks later got a letter saying we auto denied you but decided to look into it further and they gave me a $4000 cli.
I've heard many stories like that as well.. So even if it is a denial you might still see a cli within a month.
But I'd go the chat route for now ask them to manually review... If they say you don't have that option on the account email EO.
Not having that feature is true.. So they are not being mean. I think they only manually review if u spend a lot I.e 3x your cl every month.
With a 10k CL, that's more spend that I can handle
Denial As others have said. Dont feel bad they gave the DW same message on Christmas.
Denied. Electronic letter today.
Only just did a balance transfer and have not ramped up the payments yet. Recent payments have been based on very light usage the past several months.
Not running high utilization on the account, this BT only puts it at 52% utilization.
· Your average monthly payment has been too low compared to your balance
· Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low
So there you go: Use the card heavily relative to existing CL, and pay large amounts on that usage.
