I have COF accounts over 11 yrs old and 800 + FICO scores. I try applying for a CLI  and get the same resaon for denial. Not high enough charges on the account . Does anyone know what percentage of your CL you have to use before you are eligible for a CLI ?

The only time I got one (Venture $5k to $7k) was after making the bonus spend and letting it sit. Then I took advantage of a BT offer for $2k and every request since has been denied. I heard they like heavy spend and big payments, but who doesn't.

What is your existing CapOne limit?

Mine is $10k, had it since 2003, same limit, plenty of balances and usage and interest payments over the years. Forunately no CLD during the financial crisis.

I did a BT onto it of $5,700 in November, now paying that down rapidly and my two recent CLI denial notes are progressively indicating I might be on the right track, estimating May for my next CLI request on this card. No idea what the result will be.
