So last month I applied for the Capital one quicksilver visa and was approved SL $3000 and when I was filling out the application I noticed it asked
"how much do you charge on credit cards a month" and
"How often do you carry a balance"
Does the answers to the question impact what the credit limit upon approval will be. I answered "$750" for usage and answered "NEVER" as I really never carry a balance my scores ranged from 662-695 upon approval.
If any it would have very tiny impact....

I don't think those questions really matter. Either way the CL will be based on creditworthiness.
Yup, agree (plus income would play part on this as well). My QS and Venture approvals back in July were definitely not based on those questions
I have a feeling they are developing a database for future use. Demographic type information. It's interesting, when you log out, there is a long list of questions that you can answer. Very few have anything to do with using the credit card, but more how you live. Things like how far do you let your gas gauge drop before you fill it up. That sort of thing. I'm sure it is for analytics of some sort.
