what were the credit limits on each cards?

$1000 each

Reason # 3 why I didn't go for that 22.5K UR offer posted yesterday.

I have two recent Chase approvals and don't want a pissant limit on my 3rd or 4th card from them.

yup, and Chase approved me but gave me Toy limits and their intent was to keep me with those Toy limits for life, i called for Recon with such a possitive attitude never thinking that i was going to learn that Chase was one of the banks a burned over a Decade ago..........

Well. You DID burn them.

I'd be happy to get back in with BoA with a BBR toy limit or not. Smiley Happy

I havn't done anything to them and I just want in with the BBR, and to OP Chase would not approve me for a CLI on my freedom but was willing to give me a CSP all in the same day. Cancelling cards is not the answer, especially cards that had great incentives. Chase works in mysterious ways you just have to be patient.

i burned Chase 12 years ago but they approved me for 2 Chase credit cards this year, the Freedom and the AARP, i applied for a Credit line increase for both Cards and they were Declined, then i called to Recon and spoke to a Credit Analyst Specialist and had NO luck then i was transferred to a Senior Credit Analyst Specialist and both told me i can NOT get a CLI because they can see i had a Chase credit card that was Charged Off in the year 2002, i got so mad i closed both Chase accounts today....Smiley Indifferent

Chase is very sensative these days, i'm sure there will  be many differing opinions but the same way they may have 'robo approved' you for both cards do you think the same might have happened with auto cli's because it would be based on a different criteria as opposed to manual review? Either way I understand your feelings on this matter we've all done a thing or two that later on we regretted, and i'm glad you've moved on to a better standing Smiley Happy

Lot's of different views on Chase and closing accounts on this thread. Chase got my accounts from Providian and then WAMU. They put me on a siding and many others found Chase closing their accounts. In 2010 Chase greatly reduced my credit lines. I was so mad... in the end I called and talked them into restoring my credit lines. Finally, (they were in my BK7 from 2001) I was able to app (2013) and get approved for a Chase Freedom Mastercard (converted to a Visa July 2014 - not my choice). From there I was able to finally get the Chase Freedom Visa upgraded to include the Visa Signature option (no I didn't need it but it was about getting Chase to recognize my credit rebuild and they did). Also, Chase upgraded my older Chase Business Ink Cash Rewards card to a Visa Signature version (April 2014). The bottom line is I totally share your feelings and wanted to walk away but something kept knawing at me (it wasn't rats) to hang in their and maybe just maybe there would be a second chance. Note, the second chance took from 2001 to 2013... a long time in my view. Hard to remain cool sometimes (speaking for myself). Smiley Sad

Chase is the biggest bank in USA but i'm trying to forget about my bad past in terms of credit cards and it looks like Chase had no plans of letting me do so....
