Thank you!
Were you referring to the potentially religious connotation, or I80's remark?
To all of the above.

Irish was a tad risque, but not explicit. But yes, proceed with caution!
While OP mentioned in passing that the CU's product financially supported a religious ministry, the OP's focus was how his credit profile would affect approval odds and asked for feedback on a financial institution. This seems to be well within our focus and our Community Guidelines and I feel this is an appropriate topic for the community. However, as with any thread, we do want to stay on topic, so I appreciate Kenny's reminder.
I joined CCCU in 2009 and my experience was not that good. This was after I learned that I could not live on a "cash only' basis. I went to CCCU to get a secured card and they told me that it would "unsecure" after 9 months. However, when I asked them to unsecure it after 9 months they said it had to be a year. So, well after a year I asked again and they told me that I needed to "apply" for a new card. I was not happy that they lied to me twice. I also had well over 10k in my checking account with them This is when I told them to close the accounts and I went to my other bank and applied and was approved for a 12k card and a 15k loc. Personally, I would not recommend them. Others may have a good relationship with them, but I did not. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
