It depends, if they ask you what's your desire CLI, then its a soft pull. Otherwise, HP

Opposite of this actually. If it asks for requested amount, that is a HP.

Anyone try for CLI's within first month of approval and would it be soft pull?

Re: Citi CLI's

I'll check back in a couple months.  It's my first Citi card and is my second smallest limit card.  I knew it would be but just wanted to get my foot in the door and build history with them for now, so it's ok.

Re: Citi CLI's

Received a sp cli of 1500 at around the 90 day mark with minimal usage.

Just pay attention to the verbiage on the cli page

I also received a CLI after 90 days on my Simplicity in the last weeks..   It is still showing the soft pull link though.

Has anyone ever got another SP CLI right away, or is a lock for denial until the 6 month mark?

Re: Citi CLI's

Hey guys just a datapoint.  I've had the card for about 6 weeks and just did another round of apps before a nice long garden except for any awesome offers that may pop up, so I figured I'd just give the HP a go.  Requested 10k and 2 Hours later success.  SL 3400.  As a Citi newb I am happy.  EQ 754 and ran only about 600~ through the card last month for various around town charges and PIF the day the statement cut.

Now my only low limit card is Barclay from a CLD which I will cancel tomorrow.

I was honestly surprised and did not expect it, I expected a counteroffer.

Re: Citi CLI's

Thanks man.  I wasn't sure how it would go since I know they are conservative with newbs.  Took them 2 1/2 years to let me in and got the card just planning to have it be a stepping stone within Citi, turns out I'll actually keep the card. Smiley Very Happy
