Diner's Club Denial???

CA - that's so odd.

I put in my app just yesterday... called a moment ago and asked for Lending Services... they transferred me directly. Using my name and SSN they located the application... and said it was still pending review.

very strange they can't locate it anywhere...

I'm pretty anxious about this one. The 3x gas and drugstores could be huge.

They haven't processed your app yet because a bunch of them are in the 'review' queue.

Front line CSR either give you your CL or the denial reason. If they have 'nothing' you need to ask to be transferred to "Lending Services" who can review the app.

Those guys are only available 8-5 EST.

called again... she put me on hold for at least 5 minutes and came back and said "lending services is in a meeting, specificially the lady I need to speak with... so if you could call back a little later and follow up again but it appears it "may have" been declined since I don't have anything in the system"

Called again... 3 holds and a supervisor (that I did not talk to) rep asked for a lending specialist supervisor because the previous lending specialist would not speak to me and could night find the app even with my social.

Supervisor did find it in a different system.

DENIED! and it was denied the 29th, I applied the 28th... so i think the post of if an account is not setup in 3 days you are denied is true!

Wow sorry to hear that! I think your the first reported denial? I called earlier also and meant to receive a call back from supervisor with status, as front line csr couldn't find app. I didn't ask to speak to lending services but she wasn't very friendly or helpful. I pushed her to look further and she took my info SSN address etc and said someone would call me. I'll see if I actually get a call back.

Well I was getting nervous as well and called a second time and asked for underwriters.  Julie the agent put me on hold and talked to underwriting so I didn't get to personally speak to a underwriter.  She said they are still reviewing.  I said that sounds like a denial and I'm on the road for the next ten days and really need to know now if it's a denial. I don't want to be worried about anything being stolen from my mail while away.  She assured me that underwriting is still reviewing and no decision yet and to wait three more days...  ugh

Sounds like they are not all together and like a very old-school process for those that are kicked out for review.

CA sorry about your outcome!  Will keep everyone posted on mine.
