I have the exact same situation woodyman.

App'ed 29th and have heard nothing. They told me it was still processing...

Ok so I have an update.. App'd on Octover 6th, got the 7-15 day message.. resisted calling and decided to wait for some type of response to come in the mail. Got the answer. Received the letter containing the PIN and a message stating the card will follow. Don't know what the CL is yet...

Quick stats.. soft pull on TU, score at time was 690 (myfico).. lots of TU inquiries recently (last 60 days also bought 2 cars).  Two 30 day lates within last two years (stupid annual fees from Cap One on dormant cards), most recently 12 months ago. One CO 5 years ago (paid). Mortgage, store cards etc..  highest CL on any credit card at the time was 3K.

I applied for Premier on Saturday and called yesterday and still no account generated.  I did recieve 7 - 15 day message, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for an approval.  I'll call back Monday but it's looking like a denial.

Don't give up hope.  I just applied a 2nd time for the Elite card (I have the premier card) and no HP and I got the 7-15 day message.  The first time I applied for the Elite card after applying for the Premier card, I got no HP and a 3-5 day message on September 29, 2014.  I've never received anything in response to the Elite application from 9/29/14.
