I'm here! I just haven't decided what I want to do. I went on to AMEX to see if I would get pre approved for them, and I did. So NOW...I'm trying to figure out which is the better option.

Don't mind me, I'm very undecided and I'm very afraid of apping and getting denied and ending up with an inquiry for nothing.

I'm still up in the air about it, other posts indicate that Discover pre approval site isn't very reliable. I'm conflicted. It's literally me stepping out there and just apping that has me terrified of denial.

Congrats OP!  You are right, you have your foot in the door.  The limit will grow if you use the card a lot and pay off quickly.  Discover likes to be THE card.  Anytime I need a reliable form of payment I know I can always count on Discover.  Don't worry about the $500 limit.  It will grow!
