OP - Congrats on the TJX MC Approval!
I'm not sure if they just pull TU; I've seen GECRB hit TU and EQ depending on their mood, sometimes both, and sometimes within a few days for the same application.
Congrats!!
Nice!
Thanks everyone! They did pull TU, as the inquiry alert popped up on Credit Karma the next morning. I got my card in the mail yesterday and my temporary limit of $1,400 was just that--temporary. My full limit is $2,000, which matches my Paypal Extras Mastercard. Exciting stuff.
I'm planning on rotating through these two cards for the next six months or so, and then going for Chase Freedom, Amex BCE, & maybe the Discover It if my income gets the bump it needs by January. I'd like to have one of each major kind of card (MC, Visa, Amex and Discover) to round out my profile and then let them grow with CLIs and only app for new cards when the rewards/sign-up bonuses will benefit me. For being 24 and never having any credit lessons other than "credit is bad--don't use it" given to me, I'm pretty proud that my first two cards are both MC branded with decent limits. *happy dance*
be sure to garden for six or so months, then open a few new cards!! lol Rewards cards, low APR cards, etc. Only if you want to thicken up your file a bit. I have about 15 accounts with $0 bal. LOL
