I actually assumed $12K was the limit when the online system stopped offering me increases. Of course, after reading the forums some more, I realized that's not true at all

I know, I know. I wasn't even sure I could get a CLI, so I made some progress. I've put a toe in and the water is fine, so head-first dive next time.
Oh, believe me, I was hesitant to ask for $25K! I was going to ask for $20K because that's where a few of my other cards are, and I figure even THAT was pushing the line. But I just kinda blurted out $25K when he asked. It's now my highest limit card!
Congrats on your CLI as well! I took small steps with this card and haven't asked for any CLI for about 10 months now, figure I would take a leap. But no worries, 4 months goes by quck!
Thanks. Not worried about the time, in fact, may not do it again until the end of the year of Spring 2015. In the 5 digit area is kind of my bottom limit for cards these days and I'm there. Chase is the only one left and way have to wait until I can app for a new card and transfer some CL.

I've had my Lowes card at $12K, started with $7 when I opened it a few years back. Never thought to get increases until this forum. I used to just do them online until recently it wouldn't let me do any more online, it just says unable to process. I asked for $25K (Thanks to Creditaddict's advise), asked for income, puts me on hold, comes back, congratulations, it's been approved. a $13K CLI. lol. I recently put $30 through the card this month, before that, my last statement was 7/2013.
I think I need to buy something.
