For me Citi was the highest starting limit out of all my cards at 17K.... and this at the time where my previous cards until that day were 5K. I think Citi got the high approval CLs rolling for me - Thank you Citi !

My DC was approved at $1200 and I was unsuccessful at getting a better CL with HP. I SDed it until I had a recent incident with my car. I'm slowing paying off the balance since they're in promo period. I'll very likely close once the promo period is over.

It looks that Citi is stingy with CL on DC and also a bit high with APR. If you had another Citi card I would have suggested to PC to DC as they will transfer not only the full CL but also the APR. I doubt that with an app for DC I would have gotten 17K. Mine was an AAdvantage Platinum Select before. Now waiting for 2 years to collect another sign up bonus for a new AA card
8.2K initial limit when DC was opened back in 8/2014, $1.5K SP CLI today.

When did you open your DC? HP or SP CLI?

I had one at 1k and closed it because a 1k general spend card is useless. I'm happy with my Quicksilver and the rewards are hassle free.
Bad CS = Not hassle free.
Got the Double Cash Sept. 7th, with a starting limit of $4500.
Ran about $1000 through it per month, paying in full.
2 and a 1/2 months later requested a CLI, asked for $15,000, about an hour later approved for $15,000...HP and was worth it to me.
My DH and I both have two Citi cards - the Simplicity and the Double Cash. Cit has been very good to us.
I was approved for the Simplicity card in November 2012 with a starting limit of $10,900, and I have requested & received SP CLIs every 6 months or so, usually around $2,000 each time. In fact, I just received my most recent SP CLI about two weeks ago for $2,200 which brought the card to its current limit of $17,300. I was approved for the Double Cash card in November 2014 with a starting limit of $10,000. I will be requesting a SP CLI on this card in August.
My DH was approved for the Simplicity card in May 2012 with a starting limit of $7,400. He, too, has requested & received SP CLIs every 6 months or so. His current CL is $19,000. DH was approved for the Double Cash card in September 2014 and received a starting limit of $8,000.
We have no complaints with Citi. I imagine if we were willing to take HPs, we could have even larger limits.
