Hello All,
I filed BK 7 in 2007. For many reasons, I did not file for new credit in almost five years. In 2013, I file for capital one platinum with an AF of $29 with a CL of $500. Two months later I got an CLI of $250. Six months later, I got an CLI of $1,000. Bringing the CL to 1,750. Three months later, I was offered the journey card from capital one with a CL of $2,000 with no AF and 3 months no interest (they also have a credit monitoring system that they can track your credit score). Although the rates were high, I was excited to have credit again. The only thing I had was my mortgage. In 2014, I decided to be more proactive with my credit so I signed up for Quizzle.com, Credit.com, credit karma, and signed up for a credit monitoring service with USAA. In January 2014, my HVAC went out. I decided to get a loan with USAA. To my surprise, I was approved for $5,000. Which was the total cost of the replacement of the HVAC system. So I thought that if I can get a loan, then why not try for one of the credit cards with USAA, I got approved for the VISA and MASTERCARD rewards card in the amount of 16K and 15K respectively. Then I thought that I needed a store card, just to diversify my credit portfolio. I went with BESTBUY and got approved for $1,000.00. I tried to get a credit increase but they said "no". I didn't care, because I can work with the $1,000 for the time being. Then I heard great things about NFCU. I thought I try for one of their credit cards. I joined and applied for their credit card nrewards and got approved for $25K. WOW!!! Now I am going to garden for a few months maybe years. I thinking of not applying for anymore credit until my BK falls off. Now I have a total of 4 new inquiries on my report (TransUnion).

Congrats on the credit roll!!! If I was you, I would check other CB for INQs as I believe Navy Federal and USAA pulls EQ for CC accounts. But this is truly an amazing spree. What is your income if you don't mind me asking?
congrats
My Income is $85K. I will check other CB and check with the monitoring system through USAA. Thanks for the suggestion. I am not where I want to be but I am not where I use to be. I am going to garden for now and work to get CLI on my Capital One cards.
congrats!
Truly inspiring!
I can relate to your excitement!! It's wonderful when the credit starts flowing again! Use it wisely, and credit will be your best friend, like right now with your HVAC going onto a promotional financing offer, and as long as you can keep it up, you will be bringing yourself big savings!
