NFCU App question

I have noticed that NFCU tends to pull Transunion for membership and Credit Cards and Equifax for all loans. If i freeze my Transunion would they use a different bureau or make me unfreeze it for approval? Also i have a NFCU Secured card so if i freeze Transunion and apply for a second card would they be able to pull it even though it's frozen?

Re: NFCU App question

I don't think discussions about freezing reports and applying jives well with myFico.
If there is something you want to not show by freezing your reports, I say don't apply in the first place

Re: NFCU App question

Your Transunion score is good enough to get approved for a credit card. I was approved for 6500 dollar limit NFCU card with a score of 580.

NFCU is all over the board though. There is plenty of people with better scores that get flat out declined. Odd ball for sure

My Equifax & Experian reports look much better than my TU. Many people have a specific bureau frozen. My question is if they would pull a different bureau other than Transunion for a CC since they always tend to pull Transunion. Has anyone gotten a hard pull from EX or EQ when apping for a NFCU CC?

Both DW and myself have had NFCU pull EQ for credit cards.

Re: NFCU App question

My understanding of NFCU is....it's not just about your score but your overall profile....
