Re: Not Getting the Point of Chase Pulling From EX

You might apply for an "easy" card first, then a travel card and itll prob be a single pull. As always... YMMV.

Re: Not Getting the Point of Chase Pulling From EX

Chase always double pulls me, EX and EQ. The first card was $6000 freedom, then 6 months later $11,900 on a CSP.

Re: Not Getting the Point of Chase Pulling From EX

Good news everyone. I got a call back from the Chase representative who was working with me on this issue and she said that Chase is going to mask the inquiry on my Experian file so that other creditors won't be able to see it basically. It can be done and also I emailed this person screenshots of the inquiry I was seeing on my credit reports. She also told me that inquiry was made in error and that's why decided to do this.

Good news.. That is what they did for me.. .Took about two weeks.  They recode it to be a soft pull only.  Chase is one of the only creditors that fold and will remove inquiriesSmiley Happy

My respect for Chase has gone way up, even if I can't exactly get the Freedom right now and they have really earned the title of being one of my favorite CC issuers, right up there with Amex IMO. I will eventually try again next year and I think I know exactly when I'm going to do it too.
