Update, got the condition exists please call when asking for a CLI...well i sent a secured message to them, and they just called...asked what i wanted as far as a limit (mind you i JUST opened this acct beginning of the month) so I said $7500.  (started with $3K limit)...she did security check questions, due to a Fraud Alert on my report then said okay it's been submitted you will hear something within 24 hrs...damn...was so hoping it was an instant approval...looks like it will be declined, it was worth a shot though...will try again in Dec 1, 2013  and see what happens then...

Updating again....

 

So I got a secure message saying my CLI request was approved to $3500!  UMMMMMMM OKAY???  I asked for $7500??? so not sure what happened, thinking someone keyed in the information incorrectly...soooo...I emailed directly back and asked them to re-check that and that I had asked for $7500 not $3500...but if all else fails I just got a $500 increase LMAO!

you have a fico of 550 and got $3500 credit line! NICE!!

Well, s--t on a gold-plated pitchfork!  I have a Cash Rewards Visa that had a $5,000 limit; some time ago they increased it to $6,500 (after I asked and they turned me down, but they inexplicably raised it anyway about a month later.)  I could not remember how many months that had been, so I looked at statements and saw that it had been at least a year (but I'm sure not much more than that, maybe exactly one year.)

 

So I filled out the form and asked for $12,000, and you could knock me over with a feather - instantly approved.

 

! ! !

 

I love that lil' credit union - yes, I do.

Thanks for that tip.  But... they won't have to call me or request more information? (I'm always afraid of getting snagged in all of that.)  Do you think I'll discombobulate their whole system by putting through a request right after they just approved one?

 

It'll just come back with a different figure than I ask for... instantly?

 

I want to try this but I'd like to know if it's instant.

Bman.. my TU is a 647 fico... don't know mt actual fico for ex and eq (although I got a denial from amex saying 620 for ex is what I was denied? ! NFCU gave me $3500.... so I got greedy & appd for nrewards... got a second message saying I would receive a letter but it still says "being reveiwed" which is weird because my friends apped & came back "denied" and she would get a letter ..... so not sure what's goind on there. ...loving nfcu though. ... more into the green house I go Smiley Happy
