Hello everyone.  On Saturday, I applied for a $9K CLI to my NavCheck and got the 1-hr message, only to be declined later that day.  The account has been opened since May 2014 with a $6K CL.  My current UTL is 80%, but I'm working to bring that down ASAP.  They were not specific on the reasons for the decline.

Then yesterday, I sent them a message hoping they could use the same HP for a CLI to my $2K goRewards CC.  I was hoping they would match my cashRewards CL.  I forgot CCs are on a different dept, so they also declined to do that.  

Hate that I wasted a HP, especially because I currently have 12 on my EQ report.  Several of those will fall off in Dec/Jan time frame.

Anyone have any options for me?  Thank you in advance.

Are the car loans processed through the same department as the NavCheck/LOC? I could also use a refi for my current auto loan.

Great thread, I have learned so much! But I haven't seen anyone address interest rate? Only CLI? Anyone have good info or experience in getting rate reduced? I have a 1 year old NFCU Visa Plat @15.99% and newly approved Flagship Visa @15.24%. Would like to get closer to the advertised rate. Thanks

you can call in and ask every 12 months for lower rate, they just click on the computer and it's loaded in or not. no credit pull.

Navy doesn't use the same HP even within credit card apps let alone anything else!

Well if you applied for Flagship it will take $5k to open it... you can send secure message asking them to move $5k from your current card to open the Flagship and then in 3 months probably get CLI on both!
