Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

My success story. I signed up under a joint account, realized I couldn't apply for credit cards. On May 3rd I signed up for my own account. NFCU did a HP on TransUnion. I applied for Signature Cash Rewards Visa. I got the following messages, under review and review in process. This morning before 8AM I logged in and it said the following:

Congratulations! Based on your creditworthiness, you have been approved for a Signature cashRewards Visa credit card. Your new credit line will be $17,000.00. Your APR will be prime plus 7.4%. You should receive your new card(s) in 7-10 normal mail delivery days.

This was worth the 72 pages of reading I did. I will be logging out going back to page 72 and continue reading the guide. It's too many people to thank but CreditAddict I will start with you. Bowing head and clapping! to you !!!!

PS they hard pulled Transuion twice.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

*boo*

Only received a CLI on the nRewards, of $2,200, for a total of $7,500. Received the 3-5 message for the cashRewards (the one I'm actually using, weep)! Sent a message to cancel the request so I'm not booted from the garden. HOPEFULLY they got it! *fingers crossed*

Best of luck guys!!!

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

@shann0n_Marie- I helped my ex-husband apply for 2 credit cards last year (visa platinum and Nrewards). He has bad credit and was approved for $2,500 for each card. It wasn't until later that I found out he has a state tax lien that hasn't been paid from 2012. His scores are in the mid 500s.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

after 2 months of canceling potential HP's for CLI requests for 3 of my cards, I checked to see if navy fed had done an annual review of my credit ( via freecreditreport.com) and sure enough they did, a little over one week ago. I decided to do an increase for my visa platinum with a CL of $12,500. I asked for $25k, they countered with $14,000. I took it. I then did a CLI for my Nrewards (was also 12,500 at first) and they countered with 14k for that one. I took my chances with my third card, Flagship visa signature (originally 5k) and they approved it for 14k as well. So $42k between 3 cards. Not bad at all. Navy fed is pretty awesome.

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

In my experience navy isn't very sensitive to higher balances , when I asked for my first CLI on my first card with them I had a 1000 credit limit and my balance was 899 and they gave me a CLI of 120000 !!!
