But the CL is only $250. The person I spoke to said that I'd have to wait to receive and activate the card to ask for a different limit and that all cards start at $250. Is that right??? I have several $20k cards. What can I do to fix this?
Hello and welcome to myFICO community forums!
I recommend that you call the backdoor number listed on this card when you get the card, and ask for an increase. If they deny you, wait about 4 months and ask again. GE is pretty good about CLI requests.
Its possible that they granted such a low limit because they have no history on you.
I was approved for $2000 when I got mine. I don't think I had a temporary lower limit on mine prior to getting the card. Definitely call GE when you get the card.
