Much to my suprise I was approved for a $1000 CL AMEX Delta Gold Skymiles today..
Before I start gardening again, I want to apply for the Chase Shappire and BOA rewards.
Chase first question is: Is your credit history clear from bankruptcies and/or seriously delinquent accounts?
The short answer is yes but here is the issue.
I have have some collections and derogortory hits on my file but they are all on $0 balance paid in full.
Should I hit yes or no for this question?
Should not even attempt this?
Thanks for your advice.
I guess it depends on how chase defines seriously delinquent. Is that a mandatory question?
It doesn't have the red star by it like some of the other questions.
So I guess I can try to fill out the form and see if it will let me pass it.
I would skip Sapphire and try for BOA Rewards. I just feel like your FICOs are too low to get approved.
I pulled the trigger on Chase..
Here is what it says...Should I give them a call?

Call the ap status line. If it says something like 7 to 10 days, you may be good to go. If it says 30 days, you're hosed.

I didn't get instant approval on CSP but my message was a bit different than yours:
Please call us as soon as possible at U.S. 1-877-260-0087 or International 1-302-594-8200 Mon-Sat 8am-10pm ET and Sunday 10am-9pm ET to discuss your application with a Customer Support Specialist.
Please reference # when you call.
We look forward to speaking with you.
It ended up being an approval without me having to call or do anything but I think it's a good sign if the automated system on the phone tells you you'll be hearing from them in 2 weeks. if it says anything about 7-10 days, it's a denial most likely. I think your scores are kinda on the low side still but anything's possible with Chase through recon I suppose.
Yea...I think I'm hosed....
I guess I got lucky with that AMEX today...
BOA denied me...I'm about to call CHASE...
Any recommendations on cards before I call it quits for a while...

Amex approved me with two collections on file. Citi still refuses to approve me with those same two collections on file.
