That's exactly what happened to me. I just got off the phone again to try and expedite and they are still creating the account number. She told me wihout me asking that if I wanted a higher limit I'd have to shift over some from my other lines. I guess $23,500 internal limit isn't too bad with $40k annual income stated and all my other available credit.
She did say that once the account number is created ALL Ritz cards are already expedited and sent UPS 2 day, which frequently only takes 1 day.

Thank you for the information!! I was just approved for my Ritz card, and was about to call and ask for it to be expedited!
