Going for 3.

Requested online for 3x my limit on TE card, has been a thorn in my side since the first time I received the card back in Nov 2014. Finally decided to just go for it online now, I've been denied twice, last denial was either Apr or July of 2015. At both times I was carrying a balance about 20%, this time, card is at 0. Overall UTI reporting  at 3% or even less now that everything is (accidentally) at 0.

called in this morning only to be told I was declined. I was thinking ummm ok why didnt you just say that .....o well still eternally thankful to have been given a 5k limit amex,a 2k limit one, and a prg all with scores below 700. See u in february amex 3x cli!

I am not going to try for awhile.  I have enough, only want to raise it so much.  Late December I am up again, but will wait.  Probably ask later for BCP, then move some to SimplyCash.

Received a call from Amex regarding verification, and now the real wait begins. 

My goal is to increase the limit, then PC or apply to BCE or BCP before my Costco TE card is anulled. That way, if I get denied now, I have one final shot to try given the 90 day window before my card is up.

I opened the account on 9/28/15 for the AMEX everyday card for a credit limit of $1000. I would like to increase my limit to $3000, according to this 3x suggestion. My TU and EQ are 699. Will this be approved, you think? Or should I make it like $2000?

If you're going to ask for the CLI, ask for $3K.  They'll counter if they want to give you only $2K

If your second statement hasn't posted yet, wait until to posts. I opened mine on 9/22 with $1000 and was denied. When I first got the card the re told me I can request whenever I like but it's still best to wait 60 days of its a brand new account and your first with them to establish history. It'll increase your odds. Seems like the people with $1000 limit were probably borderline approval.

I did it.  They finally gave me my 3x CLI. 

Went from $7500 SL and have been trying to get my 3x CLI. Third time is indeed a charm.  Now I am at $22,500.

I can now app for BCP or BCE in peace.
