Today's cli on the BCP took it up to 27k. Started at 8.4k. 61 day to 15.2k. 6 months later to 22.2k. Today to 27k which was the amount I requested. I was going to ask for 30k but figured I was in 4506-t territory and since they never gave me a CLI larger than around 7k why push it and ask for 30... Reported income on app 80k. No idea when the last time they softed me was but in the last 6 months my util was between 2-6% so I figured what the heck.

Well, that debunks the presumption ANYTHING over $25K requires a 4506t

I'm pretty sure this has been answered before, but do you guys and gals advise asking for the full 3x CLI or something else? I'd feel quite silly asking for a CLI to $28,500.

from my research, as long as it's no greater than 3X, go for it. They will counter with less if not approved.

...did you feel silly getting a CL of $9,500?...if $28,500 makes you feel silly, would $28,000 make you feel less so? ...or ask for $30K and accept their counter offer ...they WILL counter if they can't approve the 30k ...hth

I got my first AMEX (a BCE) last August, and just tried the 3X CLI from $2k to $6k. Approved instantly!

I'm going to try for mine even though it will be at about 75% util with AMEX.  Overall util will be under 20% though.  Won't hurt to try for double.

After 61 days, I would like to ask for 3X CLI on my BCE but I'm concerned my credit score will be lower than when I was originally approved. Can I still get the CLI even if my score is lower?
