Hi Sir, 

I have My Delta Amex since Nov 13th, 2013 with CL of 5500. I use the card a lot for Delta Miles, but pay before statment generation. My income is about 200K.  I also got approved for Green NPSL last month, I m having spending ability there also of about 18K. I use the cards for business & personal. 

Shall I apply for 3x CLI ? when can I apply on Jan 15 , as I m confused what completes my 61 days? I scared that they can decline this because of that green charge card NPSL? 

So need you advice about what to do ?

In my wallet:-

BOA:- 5000(secured), capital One: 3300, best buy Store: 5000, Discover: 3000, Chase Freedom: 6000, Delta Amex: 5500, AMEX GREEN:- NPSL

The way I calculate it, today is day 61 for your Delta Amex, should be good to go for your 3x request.

My delta had a 5500 limit, didn't want the full 3X.  I don't need Amex snopping thru my financials. So I asked for 7500, it was instant. In 6 months I'll ask for another 2k CLI.

What do you mean by that? I'm still confused as to how that works and what the benefit is...

I was approved for my $2K BCE in Nov '12.  At 61 day 3x CLI in Feb '13 went to $6K, then at 180 day 3x CLI in Aug '13 went to $18k.  I'm coming up on another 180 day CLI and was planning on requesting $25K to avoid sending my tax info.  I don't think my income justifies raising it to $54K, however, I'm contemplating requesting $35k since this is my only AMEX and thought I read a post about $35K exposure across all cards.  I know it will be a YMMV situation if I go over $25k.

Does anyone know how AMEX feels about BTs vs Payments?

I received my first AMEX (Delta Gold) last month, CL $1,500.  I charged about $1k with holiday spending, paid $100 and BTed $900 to NFCU for their 2.9% offer.  I'm planning on using the card lightly and PIF from here forward until I request the 3X CLI.

I'm also putting off the CLI longer than 61 days until I pay my total UTIL on all acounts to ~3%.  I don't want them deny me because I am carrying 22% UTIL on the NFCU card.  I'll be paying that off or way down in March.

I'm just wondering if I kind of shot myself in the foot doing a BT for 90% of the balance instead of a straight payment.

Today was my 61 day mark, I pulled the trigger this morning over a cup of coffee for the full 3X, instantly approved.  I put right at $1900 on the card in two months and pif before each statement cut.  The last sp from Amex was on 12/30/13 when my utl was 1%.  Continue to like my two Amex's!!

got it approved Instantly .. in less than a minute.
