No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I have/had the same problem with Barclay. I tried for years to get approved for any card they had or underwrote. No dice everytime. Last app with them was in 2009. Sinve then I've gotten approved for every single card from other issuers that I app'ed. I'm not going to even try for Barclay anymore. I get quite a few pre-approval letters now and invitations to apply, it's too late now; I've moved on, I don't even want their cards.
@itspongebob i dont know why they are so cruel lol i see people with terrible scores get their card so its a mystery to me. hows the wells fargo card? i might just apply for that one.
this thread is still going nice.!

Gardening isn't hard, you just have to be motivated to get where you want to be with your credit... and multiple new accounts and INQ's is not a good way to get there.
I was approved for Sallie Mae in December with 22 TU INQ's and a score of 665. The thing is though, the INQ's were all a year + old because I gardened for all of 2014.
I was instantly approved for Sallie Mae, Amex, Nordstrom, and Discover (after a call to verify identity.) I did that in December and just bought a new car a couple weeks ago. There's nothing else I need for new credit... so I can safely say I will be gardening another year at which point I will evaluate my profile.
I always get a good laugh out of you people who make credit applications sound like a heroin addiction. I mean really... LOL

The computer doesn't count I queries over a year old!
Which is exactly why gardening will pay off... as it did for me. Next year will be really good... my INQs and new accounts will be a year old AND my BK13 will be gone!
I'll take 750 FICO for $1000 Alex!
Barclay states too many inquries for me so I must stop and allow for my inquries to age so I can get a Barclay CC, not sure what I want maybe Ring or Apple Rewards.

What did you apply for recently? I noticed you changed your date.
