61 day 3x CLI on my Amex Delta Gold - Success!

They must have used my HP from the 4th, when I was instantly approved for my PRG, because I don't think I would have been approved for 3x based on the SP that was on file.

They issued me a starting CL of $2800 61 days ago, and just now requested an increse to $8400 - instantly approved.  My mouth dropped to the carpet.

Not even a year ago, Amex was a CO on my CRs, now I have the Zync and PRG NPSL and Delta Gold with my largest CL by more than double.

Thanks! I'm pretty stoked!!  Based upon my spending habits over the past year, I'll never have to worry about reporting over 10%, or having that feeling of NEEDING to make that extra payment, to keep util% in check.

Again, I REALLY do believe it was the successfull app'ing of the PRG 2 days ago, that secured my ability to get the full 3x.

Not that my util was high when I app'd the Delta Gold (thus the SP they would have used for todays 3x CLI request), but my util is under 7% based upon the HP from the 4th.

So just make sure they have the best possible SP on file, and you'll be golden.

I don't think I even ran more than the needed $500 spend requirement through the card, as I use my Zync (soon to be PRG when it arrives Monday) for all my spending.

Congrats!!!  Thats awesome.

Can I ask if you did pay the Collection that you had with Amex?  I have burned them in the past, about 8 years ago.  I would love to get back with them, but not sure if I would get approved.

It was a $5 interest fee that they tacked on to my account AFTER the card was closed by THEM.  This was back in 2008 when they started to CLD everyone and close-up accounts after SP'ing people and likely did the same to me once they saw the repo reported.

Like an idiot, I let that $5 fee go up to $130 because I refused to pay something that was assessed AFTER the account was closed.

Short of the long, it was paid a few years after the account was closed, and this year I sent a GW to exec relations, and they deleted the entire TL.  Internally, they still show my past history with them, but I ultimately have gotten this far with them, after that blip.
