I didn't get the 3x CLI on that card but did get a counteroffer to double my limit. Not long after that, I was approved for an Amex ED card for 2.1K and a Green card which more than made up for not getting the full 3x.

Congratulations! Was this after you paid down the balance from the high open amount?

Yours is a good example that AMEX does allow carrying balances, the main thing is to keep the balance in check, and pay on time.

I carry about 25% and charge to the limit every month and then pay back down to the 25% trying to let balance hit credit report you have to show pay history to credit reports

I did purchase From experian. They don't show soft pulls under inquiries. Only Equifax and transunion shows the soft pulls. 


Even when you click on "View Report Again" beneath  "Additional Services & Products"?  This is interesting and will be good to know for sure.  I was under the impression we could still see the SPs this way.
