Haven't used this since March of 2014. Credit limit was $800 when opened. Auto CLI to $1,600 and then to $2,000.
Called the backdoor GE number this morning and spoke to a gentleman that was pretty clearly outsourced. Verified my info, verified it was a softpull, and asked for an increase to $10,000 so I "could do my christmas shopping."
He put me on hold for two minutes and came back to say it was approved.
This pushed me over $100k in available credit (at 26 years old, which makes zero sense :shrugs: )
A nice achievement for your age, congrats on both
Congratulations!
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
I'm lucky enough to have opened an Amex in 2007 right before the crash. At one point I was making $1,600/month working a part time job in college and had $40k in available credit, which is very irresponsible on the part of the credit card companies.
The crash happened and all my cards cut my limits drastically. Fortunately, I've maintained all of those long standing accounts.
Congrats!
