So, I decided to go back to American Express (had a card from a few years ago...in 2009). I applied for the Blue Cash Everyday card and was instantly approved. I called the application status number and I found out that the credit line that I was approved for was $8,100. I am unsure as to what my exact scores are but I checked a couple of weeks ago and my TransUnion FICO was 759 and if I had to guess my Equifax FICO, I would say in the 730s...maybe?
Anyway, this is the fourth account that I have opened in the last 3 months, no more cards...we are good.
Nice.....Big Congrat....
WOW!!!!
That's a huge line!!!
Imagine your 3xcli!!!!
that's a ....$24,000+ LIMIT!!!!!!!
Don't forget to ask for a 3xcli on your 61st day after account opening!!

Ok...so I have heard about that. What does that entail and do I have to do anything special (e.g. charging up the card to a certain amount and paying it off, not carry a balance, utilize the entire credit line, etc.)?
As for asking to triple the limit, personally...I think that would be a bit excessive. I can maybe see doubling it (to $16,000) but I think $24,000 is too much and couldn't that trigger a financial review with AMEX? Or does AMEX only do financial reviews with their charge cards?
Congratulations to you!!
General- I'm curious about that too... I got the AMEX BCE a couple weeks ago, I just activated it on Saturday.
My CL is 15k-- at 61 days do I ask for 45K? That seems really excessive, especially since 15k is my highest limit BY FAR.
Also, is it 61 days from the date of approval, or activation?
let me know if i should ask elsewhere.
THANKS
Congrats!! Great cl.
Ive read that Amex FR you if you request more than $25,000
while a CL that high is excessive.. it's only a way to further build your credit!!!
On your 61st day of having the account.. you can request it online or over the phone...
for me it was the 61st day after approval.
