congrats, dont feel bad, i had a similar profile my score was 680-690 range when i got the bce back in april and got 1k limit too. most of my stuff fell off this yr, i still have a pd collection showing- that i think goes away sometime in 2014.  but 61 days i got it to 3k and just today i got it to 9k my current score is sitting around 717 according to discover and barclay statements

Will probably wait for the 5 CO to fall off then go for the first 3x. They should drop off in febuary so hopefully mid-march they will be off reports.

I was annoyed with Discover for a $4,000 initial CL but I'm over it. 

As others have rightly said lets be happy with our approval.

I was also just approved.  I'm excited to see what my credit limit will be.
