Amex CLI from 5k to 11k

Opened around June last year with SL of 5,000. Month ago request CL via website = denied. Called in afterwards = denied. Today got email:

 

We are pleased to inform you that we have increased the credit limit on your account referenced above to $11,000.00. Your new credit limit is available immediately.

 

We periodically review the credit limits on accounts and make increases based on customers' excellent history with American Express. We hope this increase provides you with greater flexibility to make purchases on your card as you continue to enjoy the benefits of Card Membership. What's your experian score, and how much do you charge per month?

I charge about 500-800 per month, my ex 697 now.

Even after all the denials they sent you the letter telling you it had been approved? Hmmm... I usually get those letters after approvals as well, but I can see it on my online account long before I get the letter in the mail... Did you not look at your account online during the meantime?

 

PS. Ditch the First Premier immediately!!! Ditch it!! You're paying $95 a year for the AMEX green, there's nothing that FPB card is going to do for you except waste your money in FEES!!!
