Amex CLI to $32k

Previous limit was $22,200 after just a $200 CLI about a year ago. I cooled down on the 6 month CLI process and waited to get a raise at work. Put in a request to move to $32k last night and was approved after a short 10 minute wait. Not really sure why I didn't ask for more...9,800 just seemed like plenty.

For those of you wondering about the "magic" $25k number, I have never been asked to provide Amex any financial info. As I always suspected, if a person is generally creditworthy with a large enough income, that $25k number is not a barrier or trigger for financials. In fact, I will go as far as to say that myth has been busted for many years based on my readings here, and yet I continually see folks asking about requesting CLIs only up to 24,999. Here's your proof folks, 25k+ is possible without financial info.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Awesome!!!! Yeah that's just urban legend!! I got $25k no problem. There is no magic number that triggers tax docs request. Depends on individual profile!

Re: Amex CLI to $32k

I got 25k on my Everyday card no problem as well, and then got the BCP with 5k. Kinda scared to up it very much more, but I'm gonna give it a go soon enough.

Go for it! What's the worst that can happen?

Re: Amex CLI to $32k

Can I ask what your financials are like? I haven't been asked to verify anything yet with a total profile of 30k with Amex, but I don't want to have to deal with the verification mess

Re: Amex CLI to $32k

Thanks, all!

My Ex score is 792 according to the FICO score provided by Amex. AAoA is just over 4 years. Income is just under $80k. Only 1 inquiry on EX. No baddies ever. I'm a Transactor and have never paid interest. I run about $7-9k through my Amex per year.
