Another Cap1 Execs Office Success

I didn't think it would work, but somehow it did. I kept reading about how countless others had e-mailed the execs office about rewards and credit limits and well, I guess the success didn't end with me (for a change). I am so happy about this and kinda makes me wish I had asked for more. So the story is this:

I e-mailed the CEO of Capital One on Sunday evening. In the e-mail, I literally stated how Capital One had helped me build my credit. I had their secured card which I had closed in Mid-December before the annual fee hit. I mentioned in the e-mail how Chase has taken much better care of me than them. Monday afternoon, I get a call from a really nice male rep. He literally asks me what they can do to rectify my dissatisfaction. At this point, I only have the MTV Rewards Visa card left and sitting at a $750 credit limit (originally $500 when opened in June 2011). I told him that I wanted some serious rewards. I told him the 5000 points I had to rack up for $25 pales in comparison to the 2000 for $20 from Chase. He offered me the 1% cash back and 50% bonus. I took the offer. He asked me if I needed anything else and I said a credit limit increase. He asked how much and since I didn't want to be greedy, I said $2000 (less than half of my Chase Freedom). He asked if a counter-offer was okay if I didn't get the full amount and I said yes.

Long story short, I login into my Cap1 account today and I see the new shiny 2K limit. The rewards haven't appeared yet though. Still, I am stoked about finally getting something out of them. Makes me want to app. for at least one more card with them in the future. However, that won't happen until I have the Amex BCP under my belt. ^_^

Haha, it seems like we each have something the other wants. You want Cap1 to get a move on and I want Amex to get a move on (I see you have an actual Amex Revolver). I have the Zync with a hard limit. I app'ed for the BCP and got declined because of that Zync. I spoke with their execs office and a lady promised to get back with me on Tuesday. Here we are end of the day Wednesday and nothing. Smiley Sad

Re: Another Cap1 Execs Office Success

I wonder if you would mind pm'ing me the email address as well. I sent one out several days ago and haven't heard a thing from them. I think I used the correct email address, but I'd like to be sure. Thanks, and congrats on your success with Cap1.
