App Spree

So I went a little over board but I somewhat felt it was as I had one secured card. I went on an app spree and got approved for the following:

Victoria's secret $500
Wells fargo student $1200
Target red card $300
Walmart $500
Cap 1 quicksilver $500
Amex blue cash everday $?

Declined:
Barclays
Discover it student
Citi preferred
Bank of America student

And chase freedom is further review. I plan on joining the gardening Club this month as I've ran out of cards I feel I should apply for. Are any of these cards I got declined for easy to get back door approvals? I already tried with barclays but they turned me down.

I'm not sure what order you applied for them in, but I'm guessing since you went from one card to seven in a short period of time sent up red flags to the cards that denied you.

Since you were denied for most of the last cards you applied for I'd guess it has to do with too many inquires in a short period of time.  Amex pulls experian which isn't pulled by as many creditors in my experience, as only Chase (who pulls all 3 most times) and Amex pulled experian for me and I have a Barclay, Discover, Amex, Chase, and BoA cards.

I'd definitely call the backdoor number for Chase and Barclay.  Both are decent on recon.  Just have explainations for any baddies you may have.  GL!
