Make sure you report it cashed out or partial cashed out when you file taxes.. This is how I ended up getting um say a 10k audit from 5 years ago this year.. Took a bit of money out of an out 401k during move and didn't mention it on taxes oh they caught up to me and then some and tacked on all kinds of fees/fines/interest.
