BK7 to Amex Green and Amex BCP approved

Stepped briefly out of the garden after reading posts about getting Amex BCP with same pull as Green.

Note that I'm 7 years, 7 months out of BK7 from 9/2005. Income slightly > 100k (more info in sig below)

Since I thought that I had small chance of getting BCP, but that it would only be a soft pull if denied, I would go ahead and try last night. I was approved for green last weekend. Approved for BCP last night with credit limit of $2k. I'm a bit shocked since the BCP will be incredibly useful, but I didn't think I could get it.

AMEX did make a fresh pull on EX, but it was definitely worth it.

Back to the garden since hoping to let scores rise and try for PenFed, CFCU later in the year or early next year. Absolutely don't need any other high-interest-rate cards since I now have Freedom, DiscoverIT, and BCP for the rewards. Wow what a change from where I was at in January. Thanks all!

very nice! things like this gives me a hope about getting AMEX once I am past 7 years BK.. but one very important question. did you IIB AMEX?

on this date 1-22-24 all 3 bureaus are currently frozen until 1-22-26

No IIB on AMEX. I have never had an AMEX card before the Green that I received yesterday, so no backdating opportunity, but also the BK was only strike against me. I have tried to get AMEX many times in the past and was shocked when they approved the Green app last weekend and more shocked last night. I'll add no IIB info to sig in case other BKers are curious.

I have no idea why USBank gave me a card, although I was AU on DW's account for about a year before I applied.
