BOFA WOW

Seeing as alot of us have mixed emotions on Bank of America I thought I'd share.  They were my first secured card I started off with them with a secured 300 limit roughly 18 mos ago.  Then a year later I called to request it unsecure which it did and resulted and them bumping it to 1k CL and at the same time aquired all the cards I have in my sig.  So a few days ago I log on and hit the luv button requesting 3x limit increase to 3k CL and got the dreaded send you a written answer in 7-10 days.

Next day I snatch the analyst back door number off this site and talked to a very pleasent lady who informed me that the request had been denied and I politely asked if she could find out why.  Came back with several accounts opened up within the past 6 mos and those accounts reported balances and asked what were the reasons of the accounts.  I was honest 6 mos ago I wanted several credit lines to grow my credit profile and I simply pay off the statement balance in full.  Then I was asked reason for needing the increase which honestly I was nearly pegging the 1k limit every month seeing I'm a family of 5 and run all my fuel/grocery/snack store before work through it and yes I pay the statement balance in full every month.

Congrats I'm over riding the denial and your new line is 3K!

Great job on the recon! I'm one of few that doesn't mind BofA, I've banked with them since I was 17 back in '99 and they have treated me well. They aren't my main bank account anymore but they continue to show me love so I can't bash them.

Honesty paying off.  What a concept.

BofA and me have always been good friends.  I used them to BT a couple car loans back when paying 3% fee made sense.
