I've had my Walmart, JCP, Merrick and Barclay's cards since the end of last August (8 months), Target since September and the Cap 1 and Orchard cards since the year before.

I've tried the online Love Button and calling for increases for Walmart and JCP after their 4th statements but no love. Reasons were some tax liens and I believe my BK from '10.

Some months I pay a little more than the minimum on the Barclay's card, some months a few hundred and some months I pay the balance from the previous month.

I'm going to use my 3.99% balance transfer checks to pay off a few high interest cards that I'm carrying balances on. I don't use JCP much. I put $116. on it a few weeks ago. That will be paid before the statement closes, Walmart has $430. That will be paid off before the statement closes and Orchard has a $430. balance. That will be paid off. I figure taking care of those will save me money on interest, I'll pay off Barclay's that will have the promotional interest rate before that promotion is over and my score might go up after those zero balances report. Plus that might trigger CLIs and this increase could get everything to move in a positive direction.

Have you let balances report on the WM and JCP cards? I learned that I needed a balance for when the statement cuts, and if I PIF before the closing date, it didn't generate one at all. My increases were generally about every  3-4 mths of actual generated statements, not just 3-4 mths of having the card. So when I wasn't carrying a balance, sometimes I would pay everything but $1-$2 and let that report and then after a few months I could request my increase and has worked everytime. WM even upgraded me to the Discover card after a little over a year.

Current Debt Management:
$15k Trinity Financial Management (scheduled pay off late 2021)
$10k NFCU
$350/mth Bridgecrest Auto Loan
Goals: Pay off credit card debt & buy a new home before end of 2020

Long Term Debt:
Fed Loans - $150k
Navient - $100k

Taking a "if God don't do it, it won't get done..." approach to paying these off.

If I have a balance on an account, I'll let it report and pay it off a few days before the due date to take advantage of all the time that I can to use their $ without paying interest. There are some accounts that I carry a balance on month but some are paid off. I'd say that JCP has reported a balance for 4-5 months that I've had the account and Walmart has reported a balance for about 6 months. I've had each of them for about 8 months.

I had a plan for CLIs after my app spree last August but that didn't work out. i'm going to be paying off my Walmart, JCP and Orchard cards next week so that will probably bump my score a little. Reported utilization will drop so I'll then check in with Cap 1 for another increase (it's been 6 months).  I'll then try JCP and Walmart again. i'm hoping then will send me some love on their own though.
