It's a good card to have. I use it to pay utilities monthly. You might get auto-cli from them about six to eight months.

That's what I was planning to use it for...plus gas and groceries. Chase and Discover only offer 1% right now for those categories. I hope to call up Chase, Discover, and Barclays when Barclays gets 6 mos old to see if I can get an soft CLI. If not, I will wait until July 2014 when I step out of the garden for a HP. I hope to have even better limits by next summer! I NEVER heard of Barclays before reading this board. You all have helped me so much that I feel indebted to you all. <3

So updating my previous post. I called barclays recon line in the sticky. A nice rep answered the phone. She verified my info on my app. Asked about inquires and why I wanted the card. Gave her honest answers. Asked why I had no previous credit. Said I used cash but that if you want to buy a house then you have to have some credit. She overturned he denial into $1500 approval. Very nice and easy to talk to. Apple Visa card was what I applied for.
